Toyota 100 cars for good

Sooo…you know the good news I told you that you would have to stay tuned for? Well, today I got the go ahead to announce our participation in the Toyota 100 cars for good program! The Wildlife Center at Crosstimbers Ranch has been selected as one of 500 finalists!

We need your votes to get a new truck! Our ranch truck is getting on in years, and she has told us that she would really like to retire.  At over 150,000 miles, who can blame her? We use the ranch truck for litterally everything at WCCR. The truck hays the horses every few days, we transport all of our release animals in it, and we haul materials to build enclosures and pick up food donations, often by the hundreds of pounds. The ranch truck also transports bobcat diet from Fort Worth all the way back to Terrell on a regular basis.

Any truck of WCCR must be a tough one! One that doesn’t mind actually being used as a truck. Toyota is giving away 100 cars to deserving organizations, and WCCR needs this vehicle! The voting begins May 9th, and Crosstimbers Wildlife has a vote date of July 21st. We will be competing with five other groups for votes that day. We need your help!

We are a 501(c)3 and that means that sometimes (okay, a lot of the time), we just don’t have the funding to get the things we need to continue doing what we do. This includes a new truck. This vehicle would mean everything to this organization. Please help us out by voting on July 21st!
